Leading game developer Microgaming has expanded its presence in Italy after striking a new content agreement with casino game aggregator BLOX.
Under the brand new agreement, which was signed through Prima Networks Limited (PNL), over 50 Microgaming titles will be added to the aggregator’s network, which already offers content from developers such as Pragmatic Play, Evolution, and Yggdrasil.
Some of the games to be made available through BLOX include Immortal Romance, Lara Croft Temples And Tombs, and 9 Masks Of Fire, all of which and more will be made available with BLOX-partnered gambling sites.
According to Microgaming, BLOX offers content to some of the most “prestigious” gambling operators in the Italian market, including Betagioco.it. The firm claims that adding Microgaming’s content will “diversify” operators’ portfolios with “proven games that have become some of the most played titles in markets around the world”.
Rupert Dix, the Managing Director at PNL, said in a statement: “Italy has a thriving online casino market and we are thrilled to be able to offer our games to more operators and players via this great partnership with BLOX.
“The deal is initially for 50 games, including some of our most popular slots, but the plan is to integrate more titles over the coming months so that operators powered by BLOX can offer their players even more quality content from Microgaming and our partner studios.”
Karl Grech, the Chief Commercial Officer at BLOX, added: “We’ve built an incredible portfolio of games from some of the biggest providers in the market and the addition of Microgaming further sets us apart from our rival platform providers and aggregators.

Also this week, game developer 1X2 Network has announced a groundbreaking new content agreement with Casumo Casino.
Under the partnership, 20 of 1X2 Networks’ games by subsidiaries 1X2 Gaming and Iron Dog Studios will be made available with Casumo, which the firm has described as one of the “biggest names” in online gambling.
According to CasinoBeats, 1X2 Networks’ slots will be integrated with Casumo by Leap Gaming, and some of the games that will launch with the casino include Rainbow Wilds, Smoking Hot Fruits, and 1 Million MegaWays BC.
Jack Brown, the Sales Director at 1X2, said in a statement: “I want to offer my huge thanks to Casumo’s Head of Casino Josefine Hellstrom and her dream team who have made this possible after a long time of speaking about the possibility of a collaboration.”
Hellstrom said of the agreement: “1X2 has been on our radar for a while as they have impressed us with their continued growth and game excellence.
“We are very excited to onboard them onto our adventure, further enhancing our product offering with their strong localised content. We are looking to a long fruitful relationship with them.”
Meanwhile, Yggdrasil launched a brand new video slot titled Gator Gold Gigablox, the latest title to feature Yggdrasil’s hugely successful Gigablox mechanic.
The brand new slot is set in the Riverlands of the Serengeti, and the game has a 6×4 layout with 4,096 paylines with an RTP of 96%. It is jam-packed with special features, including super-sized symbols of up to 3×3 that should appear on at least two reels.
Gator Gold Gigablox has a free spins mode, which is triggered by landing five or more free spins symbols on the reels. During the free spins mode, wild symbols, which substitute for other symbols, multiply all winning combinations by 2x or 3x to potentially create big wins.

The news comes after Yggdrasil partnered with Jade Rabbit Studio for a new Egyptian-themed slot titled Word Of Thoth.
Finally, Pragmatic Play also launched a new slot titled The Magic Cauldron – Enchanted Brew.
According to Pragmatic Play, the studio’s new slot takes place in a “potion brewing room” and has numerous special features, including tumbling reels, two types of wild symbols, and multipliers too.
The Magic Cauldron – Enchanted Brew slot requires players to form clusters of five or more matching symbols, and it contains progressive features where winning symbols are added to the cauldron to trigger any of four modifiers.
The modifiers include Befuddlement which turns all high-value symbols into low-value symbols, Invisibrew which removes all low-valued symbols, Balm of Transfiguration which turns a random low-paying symbol into a high one, and Enlargement Ale which triggers the appearance of a 3×3 or 4×4 super-sized symbol.
