Pragmatic Play has announced the launch of their latest slot, the pirate-themed Smugglers Cove.
The brand new game, which tasks players with following their maps to embark on a quest and discover secret fortunes, uses a 5×3 layout with 20 paylines, and it has an RTP of 96.50% with high variance, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over small ones.
Symbols in Smugglers Cove include green, red, blue, and orange pirates, as well as heart, spade, clover, and diamond symbols. The game also includes Wild coin symbols and Scatter skull symbols, both of which can help trigger some of the game’s special features.
Smugglers Cove comes with several special features. For example, the Wild symbol appears on all reels and substitutes for all symbols, including the Coin symbol. However, the Wild symbol does not substitute for the Scatter symbol.
Landing three or more Scatter symbols – represented by a skull – triggers the game’s Free Spins feature. Before the mode starts, a random number of free spins is awarded, ranging between eight and 20. The Treasure Bonus is available during the feature, and landing three or more Coin symbols can trigger a Treasure Bonus of between 1x and 10,000x your bet. Meanwhile, landing three more Scatter symbols triggers eight more spins.
The Treasure Bonus is available during the base game too. Landing five or more Coin symbols triggers the Treasure Bonus, where you can win between 1x and 1,000x your bet. What’s more, Super Wild Coin and Super Coin symbols can randomly land on the fifth reel. The Super Wild Coin acts as a Wild symbol, and both the Super Coin and Wild Super Coin symbols come with a random multiplier of between 2x and 10x.
Finally, the Smugglers Cove slot comes with an Ante Bet for 25x your bet, which increases the chance to hit Coin symbols and win the Treasure Bonus.
