Game developer Nolimit City has released its first Western slot, Tombstone R.I.P.
The brand new game is the studio’s first game release of 2022 and is a sequel to the studio’s volatile Tombstone slot, which was released back in 2019 with the group’s xNudge feature. The new slot whisks players to the Wild West where a group of bandits have been caught by townsfolk and are awaiting their destiny.
Tombstone R.I.P uses a unique 2x3x3x3x1 layout with 108 paylines, and the game has an RTP of 96.08% with high variance, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones.
The slot requires a bet of between £0.10 and £50 per spin, and its symbols include bandits El Gordo, Edda Star, and Skinny Joe, as well as a cowboy and cowgirl, and the traditional A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols.
Nolimit City’s Tombstone R.I.P comes with several special features. For example, the game’s single-symbol reel comes with special properties as all symbols count as double symbols, no low-value symbols appear on it, and the Wild, xSplit Wild, and Boothill Scatter symbols are only present in the base game and Hang ’em High Free Spins. Finally, the reel only holds the five cowboy symbols during the Boothill Free Spins mode.
The game’s Wild symbols only land on the second, third, fourth, and fifth reels, and the Reel Split Wild only appears on the three middle reels. When it lands, the symbol splits itself and all other symbols on the reel in half to double the number of symbols on that reel.
The xSplitWild only appears on the last reel and counts as two symbols. When it lands, it will cut symbols to its left in four different ways; all four symbols on the top row, all four symbols on the bottom row, all three symbols on the middle row on the middle three reels and the top symbol on the first reel, and all three symbols on the middle tow on the three middle reels and the bottom symbol on the first reel.
On any spin in the main game or bonus mode that creates a win where the payout is lower than the base bet triggers the xRIP, where there is no payout.
Landing the Hang ’em High Scatter symbols on the three middle reels in the main game triggers the Hang ’em High Free Spins with eight spins. Split Hang ’em High Scatter symbols only count as one symbol for the feature but trigger one additional spin if the feature is activated. If the Boothill Scatter symbol also lands, then 10 Boothill Free Spins are awarded.
Landing only two Hang ’em High Scatter symbols converts them to Reel Split Wilds. Meanwhile, landing Boothill Scatter symbols without triggering the Boothill Free Spins riggers a respin of the last reel and land a Cowboy symbol, which becomes Wild on all reels and awards a random Multiplier of up to 999x.
During the Hang ’em High Free Spins, the win Multiplier will increase by one point with regular Wilds, by two points with Reel Split Wild and xSplit Wilds, and up to three points with the xNudge Wilds. You can upgrade to the Boothill Free Spins by landing a Boothill Scatter symbol on the last reel.
During the Boothill Free Spins, the Hang ’em High Free Spins Multipliers are in effect and on each spin, the landing Cowboy will turn all symbols of that type Wild. What’s more, a random Multiplier of up to 999x will be added to a random Cowboy symbol.
Finally, the Tombstone R.I.P slot has xNudge Wilds, where a Stacked Wild symbol will nudge to become fully visible and increase the Multiplier by one point. These symbols can only appear on the three middle reels. There’s also an enhanced bet you can enable to create more common but smaller wins.
Per Lindheimer, the Product Owner at Nolimit City, said in a statement: “Bigger, badder, and more brutal. Tombstone R.I.P takes no prisoners and you need to dig your heels deep if you’re tough enough to really step into the old west. People will say that this goes too far – but that’s what we do – we push boundaries.”
The release of Tombstone R.I.P comes after Nolimit City launched several other popular games, including True Grit Redemption, Legion X, Evil Goblins xBomb, Das xBoot, Mental, xWays Hoarder xSplit, and numerous others.
