Leading game developer NetEnt announced the launch of its latest video slot, Cornelius, over the weekend.
According to NetEnt, the new video slot is based on a food-obsessed cat named Cornelius who can’t “wait to get his paws on some tasty treats”.
The game uses a 5×4 grid layout with 1,024 paylines with an RTP of 96.04% with low volatility, which means you’re more likely to make small frequent wins over irregular large ones when playing.
Cornelius requires a bet of between £0.20 and £400 per spin, and its symbols include Cornelius himself, a can of cat food, a bottle of milk, a blue fish, and the usual A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols too.
NetEnt’s Cornelius is available at most major mobile casinos, including PlayOJO, 44Aces, Playjango, SpinGenie, Videoslots, All British Casino, Casumo, and more.

Cornelius comes with numerous special features, including a Cash Drop mechanic where Cash Drop symbols can appear on the reels, and each of them is assigned a value of between 0.25 and 3 times your bet in the main game and between 0.1 and 0.5 in the Free Spins mode.
Landing three or more Cash Drop symbols on a single spin triggers the Cash Drop feature, where each Cash Drop symbol moves one row down at the start of each spin instead of disappearing, with the total value of all Cash Drop symbols awarded at the end of each spin. The feature also has a spin counter set to three, and landing Cash Drop symbols re-set the counter back to three.
Landing three or more Scatter symbols triggers the Free Spins mode. At the start of the feature, the triggering Scatter symbols transform into Cash Drop symbols to activate the Cash Drop feature and award a win equal to the total value of all Cash Drop symbols.
During the Free Spins mode, only Cash Drop, Up, Golden Up, Adder, and Multiplier symbols appear on the reels. Upsymbols move all Cash Drop and Multiplier symbols up one row; Golden Up moves Cash Drop and Multiplier to the highest unoccupied position of the same reel; Adder stays on the reel until the end of the feature and increases the value of Cash Drop symbols, and Multipliers multiply the values of all symbols.
James Jones, the Head of Business Development at Evolution, said in a statement: “Cornelius is a charming game featuring a kitty who worships food – we have all met at least one cat like that.
“Our teams have worked hard to create a casual game with a unique set of features in a fun atmosphere with attractive instant cash prizes for slots players. It is high time we let the feline out the bag!”
The launch of Cornelius comes as NetEnt continues to release new casino games, including Bee Hive Bonanza, Space Wars 2 Powerpoints, Funk Master, Knight Rider, and numerous other titles too.
