The US branch of British bookmakers William Hill has expanded its partnership with Golden Entertainment, a gaming company that operates casinos and more.
William Hill currently operates the race and sportsbook at Golden Entertainment’s Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Gambling Hall in Nevada.
The expansion to the companies’ agreement will see William Hill take over wagering operations at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, Arizona Charlie’s Boulder in Las Vegas and the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada.
In addition to this, the bookmaker company will also operate the race and sportsbook at the Edgewater and Colorado Belle resorts.
Meanwhile, both companies will pursue sports wagering in the states of Montana, where Golden Entertainment operates 300 gaming locations, and in Maryland at the Rocky Gap Casino Resort.
Commenting on the news in a statement, Steve Arcana, the Chief Operating Officer at Golden Entertainment, said: “We are excited to expand our current relationship with William Hill, which has a proven sports wagering platform not only in Nevada but around the world.
“We look forward to growing our business in Nevada and other jurisdictions through this partnership.”
William Hill US’ Chief Executive Joe Asher described the company’s relationship with Golden Entertainment as “excellent” before adding: “We look forward to continuing it for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”
The British company has continued its expansion in the United States with partnerships with some leading US gaming providers.
Just last month William Hill announced it had agreed to a deal with US gaming giant IGT in order to secure sports betting deals with US state lotteries.
The company also formed a gambling partnership with Eldorado Resorts by becoming Eldorado’s exclusive partner in the provision of digital and land-based sports betting and online gambling.
William Hill’s agreement with Eldorado Resorts saw the bookmakers shares rise by 6%.
