Metal Casino and Guts Casino have launched a sportsbook in partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).
The popular metal-themed online casino, which we’ve reviewed here, announced the news last week, revealing that it had launched the sportsbook in collaboration with GiG.
Metal Casino has been operating on the firm’s platform since its launch back in August 2017 but has only recently integrated its sportsbook solution, allowing customers to wager on sports and events such as American football, boxing, cricket, volleyball, ice hockey, eSports, baseball, golf, rugby, tennis and much more.
GiG only launched their sportsbook services back in June last year where it implemented them into Rizk.com. The move proved successful and allowed GiG to continue expanding its sportsbook services by striking deals with additional operators.
In a statement, GiG’s Director of Sports Endre Nesset said: “We are happy to support Metal Casino entering the world of sports betting. The launch process has been smooth and it is a pleasure working with the Metal team.
“The fully managed solution is personalised to their liking and we are excited to see how the product is being received from Metal fans across Europe.”
The site’s sportsbook is available in all jurisdictions that are covered by UK and Maltese gambling licenses.
Metal Casino isn’t the only online casino to have benefitted from GiG’s sportsbook services. Just days after the announcement, Guts Casino, which we’ve reviewed here, launched their own sportsbook also operated by GiG.
Guts Casino customers will now have access to a sportsbook offering the same range of sports and events betting opportunities at Metal Casino. The move comes as GiG looks to enhance its services as a sportsbook operator.
In a statement, GiG said: “GiG is continuing to develop its sportsbook with new features; key priorities are innovative trading tools, data-driven odds together with a full retail and online solution.
“Break-even in this vertical is expected in the first half of 2020. This will be achieved by strengthening the sportsbook by growing the in-house brand Guts, by the developments in the new sportsbook and a focused marketing approach.”
