Quickspin has announced a new sequel to its hit game Sticky Bandits.
The online slot provider, which is responsible for games such as Northern Sky and Dwarfs Gone Wild, announced it was working on the slot this week.
In Quickspin’s official press release, the provider revealed that its new slot Sticky Bandits: Wild Return will follow the same group of bandits from the original game.
However, the group are tougher and older in the sequel and have been joined by a third bandit; a female outlaw who, according to Quickspin, “holds no bars when the action is going down”.
In a statement, Erik Gullstrand, the Chief Product Officer, said: “The first Sticky Bandits is one of the classics in our portfolio – it’s really popular with the team at Quickspin, and it also happens to be one of our top-performing slots.
“So, one day the team got talking about it and we wondered what it would be like to do a follow up with the same bandits and what that might look like. What if the bandits were much older, and the game a bit tougher and rawer? And the symbols massive?”
He continued: “Once we started working on it, we decided to add a female bandit to the gang as well. We wanted this game to be bigger and bolder in every way, so we’ve also incorporated a shootout where the bandits turn into Sticky Wilds.”
Not much else is known about the slot and Quickspin have yet to announce a release date for the game. If rumours are correct, however, the slot may launch early next month.
The news comes just weeks after Quickspin launched its latest game; Primal Zone. The slot was based on a sea-side city with beautiful palm trees and wild city scenes.
Since its release, Primal Zone has been praised for its upbeat music, jaw-dropping graphics and visuals, as well as its fun and exciting gameplay mechanics.
Meanwhile, the slot made news after announcing it was launching in Denmark after striking a deal with LeoVegas. Under the agreement, Quickspin’s slots were made available on LeoVegas Casino in Denmark.
The partnership expands Quickspin’s player reach and saw 43 of the firm’s slots and its gamification tools become available on the Danish casino site.
