Playtech has made history after launching a brand new slot game.
The leading game provider, which is known for games such as Gladiator Jackpot and Age Of The Gods series, announced the new game this week and made history along the way.
Playtech’s new game is a live slot named Buffalo Blitz, the industry’s first-ever live slot. The new game is a live remake of Playtech’s existing Buffalo Blitz slot which was released back in 2016 and has been hugely popular with games.
According to Playtech’s official announcement, the live Buffalo Blitz slot is a “collective experience” and the first game to feature what’s called “community spins” where all players participate in the slot to create a game-show atmosphere with a real-life host.
Playtech explains that before playing players select their overall spend limit, the number of spins and their bet per spin. The live slot game continues spinning automatically and wins and losses are credited automatically while playing.
What’s more, the slot also supports Free Spins bonusing, giving all live casino players a chance to make big wins while playing the slot.
In a statement, Kevin Kilminster, the Head of Innovation for Live Casino at Playtech, said: “2019 has been a remarkable year for the Playtech Live team, with a stronger focus than ever on experience-led innovation.
“Live Slots is a genuinely new concept within the industry, delivering an engaging new style of gameplay for players and creating an exciting cross-sell opportunity for operators.”

Alongside the release of Live Slots, Playtech also launched another live casino game; Quantum Blackjack. The new game follows on from the firm’s highly successful Quantum Roulette and is the industry’s first-ever multiplier-based live Blackjack game.
Quantum Blackjack combines an immersive studio environment with new gameplay including the extra draw which takes place after betting time. When this happens, up to three cards are drawn and are randomly given a multiplier of between 3x and 10x. The lucky player who receives any of these cards and wins against the dealer is paid according to their multiplier for a giant win.
