NetEnt Announces New Slot Jackpot System ‘Starburst Power Pots’

Starburst PowerPots

Game provider NetEnt has announced a new groundbreaking jackpot system.

The leading developer, which is known for games such as Gonzo’s Quest and Dead Or Alive, has announced a brand new community jackpot mechanic only featured in the Starburst video slot.

Through the new jackpot system, players collect Starburst tokens across multiple casino brands and games to fill the PowerPots progress bar and trigger a community jackpot which is divided amongst all players, even if they’re offline.

According to NetEnt, all of the games within the system share the same jackpot value and the service was designed to provide casino operators with maximum configurability. This includes the ability to openly change RTP rates, prize setups and tailor the user interface to match the operators’ casino brands.

Bryan Upton, the Director of Games for NetEnt, said in a statement: “Starburst PowerPots was developed in line with our customers’ and players’ expectations, taking cue on everything from art assets to mechanics. We are using leading-edge games design approaches to make this jackpot family with our most powerful games simple to understand yet compelling. Using the Starburst brand will create massive acquisition while these jackpot mechanics will drive huge engagement for players.”

He added: “This is community gaming without the overengineering and overthought on what slot players really want. This product can fit into any operator’s portfolio and deliver any experience, from large life-changing prizes to super-fast hitting jackpots.”

New Partnerships And Branded Slots

The news comes in the same week NetEnt announced a slew of new partnerships and branded video slots. The game provider revealed that it will be releasing a Street Fighter II: The World Warrior-branded video slot in May which will feature the game’s iconic graphics and soundtrack, as well as its characters and bosses.

Alongside this, NetEnt revealed that it had struck a partnership with Global Merchandising Services to develop and release a slot based on the ITV reality television show Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen. Although NetEnt didn’t state when the slot will release, the game will reportedly feature Gordon’s “famous catchphrases” and “imagery to tantalise the taste buds”.

Lastly, NetEnt, which recently launched a MegaWays version of its Piggy Riches slot, struck an agreement with FashionTV Gaming Group to develop and launch a slot based on the FashionTV brand featuring hit song ‘I Want To Be A Trillionaire’ with FashionTV star Anja J. Unfortunately, no other details of the slot have been released, including a launch date.
