Yggdrasil has been granted a Swedish Gambling Association (SPER) membership.
The leading game provider, which is known for games such as XX, announced this week that it had been granted membership to the Swedish trade group SERP.
According to Yggdrasil, the membership will allow the firm to “help promote a healthy, safe and sustainable gambling environment in the year-old regulated and ethical manner.”
SERP represents the licensed gambling market in Sweden and currently consists of 20 members who are all committed to “acting in a responsible and ethical manner”.
Members of the organisation are required to follow common responsible gambling and marketing guidelines, as well as make a pledge to a code of ethics that ensure player protection.
The organisation offers its members a platform to discuss industry best practice and challenges, as well as an opportunity to discuss issues and learn from one another.
SPER was founded back in 2002 and currently has 20 members of casino operators and game providers including Yggdrasil.

The announcement comes days after Yggdrasil revealed that it had won the Innovator Of The Year award at the International Gaming Awards 2020. The game provider won the award for the fourth consecutive year, an award that recognises the best-in-class supplier with its ground-breaking innovation.
Yggdrasil nabbed the award for its newly launched Publishing division which offers customers “the kets fo its kingdom” with all the tools they need to create, build and offer a complete B2B gaming business.
Meanwhile, Yggdrasil has been hitting headlines for releasing brand new video slots, including the recently launched Ice And Fire slot which depicts two behemoth dragons battling it out for wins and riches.
At the end of January, Yggdrasil released its Temple Stacks Splitz video slot, the first slot featuring Yggdrasil’s new Splitz mechanic which transforms the game’s 3×5 layout into reels of infinite potential.
