Gambling operator Betfred has partnered with Playtech to develop a unique new horse racing-themed bingo game.
The brand-new game is titled Giddy Up Bingo and is a 50-ball bingo variant that has been designed to simulate a horse race. Rather than traditional bingo balls, the game uses numbered horses and jackpots that gallop off-screen when numbers are called.
When playing, you must select one of four horses that each represents a different ticket with increasing prizes depending on your stake. The game also features a progressive “community jackpot” that can be won.
Giddy Up Bingo is available exclusively at Betfred for all registered players. There’s no word on whether the game will launch with other operators in the coming months.
Joni Keelings, the Bingo Manager at Betfred, said in a statement to SBC News: “We’re very proud to offer Giddy Up Bingo as an exclusive, and there has been a highly positive player reaction to its launch.
“To be able to work closely with Playtech to deliver something unique for our player adds great value to our partnership, and we’re delighted with the results.”
Angus Nisbet, the Director of Digital Bingo at Playtech, added: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Betfred to bring it exclusively to their players. The in-game animation creates the effect of the horses actually racing as the numbers are called, giving it great visual appeal, and with a choice of four stakes, the game can attract both newcomers and more experienced players.
“With horseracing season in full swing, it’s no surprise to see such a strong early reaction to Giddy Up Bingo – but we’re confident this is a variant players will enjoy all year round.”
The news comes after the studio announced a five-year international agreement with The Jockey Club. Under the agreement, Playtech will develop a range of cross-product content based on The Jockey Club’s famous races and racecourses.
