Leading game developer NetEnt has announced the release of a Knight Rider-themed slot.
The game, titled Knight Rider, is the latest branded game released by NetEnt. Based on the NBC television show of the same, the new slot was developed in collaboration with Universal Games and Digital Platforms.
Knight Rider uses a 5×4 layout with 26 paylines, and the game has an RTP of 96.07% with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones.
The game requires a bet of between £0.20 and £40 per spin, and its symbols include Multiplier Wild symbols, the Knight Rider logo, David Hasselhoff himself, K.I.T.T., trucks, watches, and the traditional A, K, Q, J, and 10 symbols too.
The Knight Rider slot comes with numerous special features. For example, there are Walking Multiplier Wilds that can appear anywhere on the reels during the base game and the Free Spins mode. Whenever the Wild symbols on the first four reels form a winning combination, they move one reel to the right. When they reach the fifth reel, the symbols disappear.
Each Walking Multiplier Wild symbol has a Multiplier of between 1x and 5x your win. What’s more, these Wild symbols substitute for all symbols except Knight symbols and Scatter symbols.
There’s a Turbo Boost feature that can be randomly triggered during any spin of the main game. When triggered, three or four Walking Multiplier Wild symbols are placed on the reel.
Meanwhile, landing three Scatter symbols on the second, third, and fourth reels of the game triggers 10 free spins. The feature consists of four levels, in which the number of Walking Multiplier Wilds available increases by one up to a total of three.
During the Free Spins mode, Knight symbols can appear on the middle three reels, and at the end of each spin, one point is added to the Collect Meter for each Knight on the reels. Whenever the Collect Meter hits three, it is reset, and two additional spins are awarded. Players also move onto the next level of the feature.
Finally, you can trigger the Laser Wilds feature during the Free Spins, where several Walking Multiplier Wild symbols are placed randomly on the reels. However, they cannot be placed over Knight symbols or other Walking Wilds. The Free Spins mode is unlimited but ends when there are no more spins.
Todd Haushalter, the Chief Product Officer at NetEnt owner Evolution, said in a statement: “This game brings back the ’80s with style. Knight Rider is a beloved classic and the team has done a great job at incorporating this world into the video slot.
“Knight Rider fans, both existing and new, are going to love being immersed in this iconic show, and we can’t wait for players to take to the streets of LA and sink their teeth into all the fun the game has to offer.”
Knight Rider is the latest video slot released by NetEnt and follows the launch of Silverback Gold back in December and Gonzo’s Gold last October.
