English Premier League football club Leicester City has agreed to a partnership deal with Asian online gambling operator M88.
The new official betting partner of Leicester City will leverage the 2015/16 Premiership champions global brand across its marketing activities. The betting company will also receive branding across LED boards at the club’s King Power Stadium.
Leicester City’s commercial director Jonathan Gregory praised the football club’s effort in enriching its international profile through a series of strategic partnerships. “We are excited to begin this partnership with M88 who already have a strong presence in the sports industry. We have built a series of key relationships across Asia, and our partnership with M88 only strengthens Leicester City’s already a significant connection with the region,” said Gregory.
“We are delighted to add Leicester City to our list of partners through this multi-club deal, as we gain more market share year-on-year,” said a spokesperson of M88.
“We are excited to engage with Leicester City’s exciting fan base and cannot wait to bring our loyal customers closer to the club.”
M88 also provides shirt sponsorship to Leicester City’s fellow Premier League club Bournemouth under a two-season deal that lasts until the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
Leicester City started off their 2018/19 Premier League campaign with a 2-1 defeat at Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. On Saturday 18th August, they will be confronting the newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers at home.
While a new partnership deal is established between Leicester City and M88, The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) is about to cut ties with gambling operators. Find out more here.
