London is set to host the world’s richest poker tournament ever.
The city will be hosting the Triton Million For Charity poker tournament in the Grand Ballroom of the London Hilton on Park Lane as part of its Triton Poker Super High Roller Series. The event also consists of several poker tournaments which require entry fees of as little as £25,000.
The event, which is thought to be the world’s richest poker tournament, requires a £1.05 million entry fee consisting of a £1 million buy-in and a £50,000 charity donation.
The donated funds will be given to Asian-based organisations Raising for Effective Giving (REG) and the Caring for Children Foundation.
According to reports, the invitation-only tournament will take place on August 1-3 and is sponsored by PartyPoker Live. The Participators must either by directly invited to the event or be an invitation holder’s guest. They must also dress formally for the event and avoid wearing sunglasses, hats and hoodies.
At the time of writing, several multi-millionaire businessmen and professional poker players will be in attendance, including David Peters, Rui Cao, Bryn Kenny and Triton Ambassadors Tom Dwan and Jason Koon.
Other participators reportedly include 1978 World Series of Poker Main Even winner Bobby Baldwin, American entrepreneur Rick Solomon, Hong Kong investor Stanley Choi and Dusk Till Dawn casino founder Rob Yong.
In a statement, Triton Ambassador Jason Koon said: “I’ve already taken part in several Triton Poker High Roller Series around the world and can definitely say they are the most exciting poker events I’ve ever played in.
“I love to play big stakes against tough competition, and no one checks those boxes quite like Triton. The Triton Million in London will be taking the Series to a whole new level as well as raising millions for worthy causes.”
He added: “There has never been a poker tournament with a buy-in of this size before, all the players will be part of poker history. I’m very excited about it! London is one of the most historically rich, beautiful cities in the world – so it’s very fitting that this history-making event will be taking place in the heart of the city.”

The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series will be taking place August 1st to 3rd following events in Montenegro, Manila, the Philippines, Macau, Sochi and Jeju in South Korea. Fans will be able to view the tournament live on the Triton Poker website or on Triton Poker social media channels.
