Microgaming is set to expand its selection of casino table games this month.
The popular online casino developer, known for its Thunderstruck II and Immortal Romance slots, announced this week that it has partnered with independent developer Switch Studios to release a new selection of table games.
According to Microgaming, Switch Studios will develop a dozen brand new table games for Microgaming and release them under the provider’s brand. The two firms had previously collaborated for table game European Blackjack which was released earlier this year.
This month sees the launch of five new Blackjack-inspired games. The first four – Atlantic City Blackjack, Vegas Strip Blackjack, Vegas Downtown Blackjack, and Classic Blackjack – all launched simultaneously on December 4th. A fifth game, Vegas Single Deck Blackjack, is set to launch on December 11th.
The Blackjack games are built on a brand new engine which allows players to utilise special features such as Standard Side Bets: Double Down, Insurance, and Split Hands. The games, according to Microgaming, also combine fluid gameplay with jawdropping animations and sound design.
Switch Studios is also set to release a Baccarat game on December 11th built on the same engine used for the Blackjack games mentioned above. This table game includes a Card Squeeze mechanic which allows players to peel, pull, rotate, and flip their cards. There’s also a Scorecard feature tailored by the player, as well as Advanced Road Statistics, and a Turbo Mode.
James Buchanan, the Director of Global Operations at Microgaming, said in a statement: “We have further expanded our table games offering with the launch of six exciting new titles from Switch Studios, developed exclusively for Microgaming.
“Each of the six creations realises Switch Studios’ ambitions to refresh the table games market with exciting casino experiences. The suite of Blackjack games, along with the new Baccarat title, are sure to set the standard for a new breed of table gaming.”
Tom David, Switch Studios’ Head of Studio, added: “We are excited to see Microgaming release six new games under the Switch Studios brand.
“Our latest Blackjack and Baccarat titles combine immersive gameplay with stunning visuals, to provide new and seasoned players with a thrilling, modern and enjoyable but mobile-friendly gameplay experience both at home and on the go.”
He continued: “Each game comes with a unique built-in feature allowing operators to put their own stamp on it, by applying their own branding to the felt colour, table logo stamp, card back colour and card back logo. We aim to bring innovation, style and the best selection of games to the online table gaming sector, and we look forward to creating more exclusive titles for Microgaming this year.”
The news comes just days after Microgaming announced four brand new video slots for December 2019. The games all come from various developers including Foxium, Pulse 8 Studios, Rabcat, and Just For The Win, and all include unique visuals, game mechanics and special features.
