Developer Play’n GO has announced the launch of its brand-new video slot, Dio – Killing The Dragon.
Dio – Killing The Dragon is based on the popular American rock band Dio, and it sees you join the band’s vocalists as they use their music to conquer fire-breathing dragons, wild wolves, and more.
The game uses a 5×3 layout with 243 paylines, and it has an RTP of 94.25% with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent, large wins when playing.
Dio – Killing The Dragon requires a bet of between £0.10 and £100 per spin, and its symbols include Wild wolves, main vocalist Ronnie James Dio, a green dragon, a demon, and the usual diamond, heart, spade, and club symbols.
The Dio – Killing The Dragon slot comes with numerous special features, including Wild symbols that substitute for all paying symbols excluding Scatter symbols.
Landing a Wild symbol on the first reel’s open cage triggers a Lock Up The Wolves feature. When this happens, the cage closes, and the Wild symbol becomes sticky, with another open cage added to the next reel. The feature can be re-triggered up to four times by landing Wild symbols in open cages.
Landing three or more Scatter symbols triggers the Free Spins mode. The number of spins awarded is based on the number of Scatter symbols that landed; three Scatters award six spins, four Scatters award eight spins, and five Scatters award 12 spins.
During the Free Spins mode, Wild symbols that land on the three middle reels become sticky. What’s more, a Special symbol can land on the fifth reel, triggering one of three features and awarding two additional spins.
The Fallen Angel is one of the features triggered. When this happens, a falling Wild symbol is added to the top of the first reel, becoming sticky and moving down one position with each spin until it disappears off the reel.
The Symbol Upgrade is another feature that can be triggered. It upgrades the lowest-value monster symbol to a Dio symbol, and this continues until all monster symbols have been upgraded. Upgrading all symbols defeats the game’s dragon.
Wild Multiplier is the final feature that can be triggered. It increases the Multiplier of a randomly selected sticky Wild symbol on the three middle reels by 1x up to 5x.
