Game developer Playtech has gained approval to launch its games in New Jersey.
The development studio secured approval from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE) to officially launch its games within the US state in what marks a major step for the game developer.
With the approval, Playtech will now be able to launch its games with Bet365 and Hard Rock Atlantic City in New Jersey. Playtech expects it will launch its games with other operators and partners in the near future.
What’s more, Playtech has already begun licensing processes for other States across the country in the hopes of furthering its player reach.
Mor Weizer, the Chief Executive at Playtech, said in a statement: “This is a major milestone for Playtech. We are delighted to have met the stringent regulatory requirements of the DGE and to be launching in New Jersey with our long-standing strategic partner Bet365.
“The US is a highly strategic market for Playtech and we see significant demand for the full breadth of our product offering. We are initially launching our online casino product in New Jersey and over time will increase our products on offer to include sports, platform, and live casino and we will continue to expand into further states as they regulate.”
He added: “This is the first step for Playtech in the US and we are very excited about the long-term opportunity.”
The news comes as Playtech spent much time signing content partnerships with various casino operators and websites. For example, Playtech last month struck an agreement with Alea, the owner of SlotsMillion. Under the partnership, Playtech provides Alea with its selection of live casino content.
Playtech has signed similar agreements with other operators and websites including Meridianbet, Betfred, GVC, the Mansion Group, Endemol, Ladbrokes Coral, and so many others.
The firm has also been launching new games. Some of its most recent releases include Frankie Dettori All Bets Blackjack Live Table, All Bets Blackjack, Quantum Ruleta, Quantum Blackjack, Kingdoms Rise, and dozens of others.
You can expect Playtech to continue striking these important content agreements with online casinos and operators while also developing and launching new casino games on a regular basis including slots and live content.
