Developer Pragmatic Play has announced the launch of its latest video slot, Shield Of Sparta.
The game, as the title suggests, whisks you away to an ancient battlefield where plenty of riches and secrets await.
Shield Of Sparta uses a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, and it has an RTP of 96.50% with high volatility, which means you’re much more likely to make large, infrequent wins over regular small ones.
The game requires a bet of between £0.20 and £100 per spin, and it has symbols that include Spartan soldiers, ships, trebuchets, horses, and the usual A, K, Q, and J symbols.
The Shield Of Sparta slot comes with several special features, including Wild symbols that substitute for all symbols except the Bonus and Magnetic Bonus symbols. The Wild symbols appear on all reels.
The Bonus and Magnetic Bonus symbols also appear on all reels. Landing three or more of any type triggers the Free Spins bonus. Whenever two of any symbols land, the symbols remain in place while all others re-spin once for a chance to trigger the Free Spins.
Landing three, four or five Bonus symbols trigger 10, 15 or 20 spins. During the feature, Bonus and Magnetic Bonus symbols are marked. Whenever another Bonus symbol lands in a marked position, it’s upgraded up to a maximum of three times.
Positions marked by a Magnetic Bonus are Magnetic Positions, which drag any Bonus symbol that lands on the reel towards them. At the end of the Free Spins mode, all marked positions will reveal a random Multiplier dependent on their upgraded level, ranging between 1x and a maximum of 20x.
Meanwhile, landing three, four or five Scatter symbols during the feature re-triggers the Free Spins and awards you with 10, 15 or 20 more spins.
