Developer Pragmatic Play has launched its first slot of 2022.
Titled Magician’s Secrets, the new magic-themed video slot, which uses a 6×4 layout with 4,096 paylines, sees players dabble in the dark arts to find and make big wins hidden by the Magician.
According to Pragmatic Play, it has an RTP of 96.50% with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones.
The new slot requires a bet of between £0.10 and £100 per spin, and its symbols include a magic book, an ancient artefact, a diamond-encrusted goblet, a dagger, a shield, and the traditional playing card suit symbols too.
Magician’s Secrets comes with several special features. For example, the Wild symbol appears on the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth reels and substitutes for everything but the Scatter. When a Wild symbol lands, there’s a chance it will randomly expand to cover an entire reel with a Random Multiplier of between 2x and 10x.
Meanwhile, landing the Scatter symbol three or more times triggers the slot’s Free Spins mode. The Scatter also pays depending on the number of symbols you land; four Scatter symbols pay 20x your bet, five Scatter symbols pay 200x your bet, and six Scatter symbols pay 2,000x your bet.
There are two types of Free Spins rounds, including Free Spins with Expanding Wilds, where 10 spins are awarded. During the feature, whenever Wild symbols land on the third or fourth reel, they will expand to fill the entire reel and trigger a Respin, and the game will continue to respin until no new wins are made. With each Respin, the Multiplier increases by one point. Landing three or more Scatter symbols triggers 10 more spins with no limits.
The other Free Spins mode is Free Spins with Sticky Wild symbols, where eight spins are awarded. Before the feature starts, a random symbol is chosen and during the feature, it transforms into a Wild that remains on the reels until the feature ends.
Finally, Magician’s Secrets allows you to purchase entry into the Free Spins mode for 100x your bet, instantly triggering the feature as between three and six Scatter symbols land on the reel.
