Game developers Relax Gaming and Wazdan have both announced content agreements with Romanian gambling operators as the two firms look to bolster their presence in the European region.
Developer and content aggregator Relax Gaming has signed an agreement with operator MagicJackpot, under which Relax’s full catalogue of casino games will be made available with MagicJackpot.
Some of the Relax Gaming content that will become available with MagicJackpot includes Templar Tumble, Money Train 2, and Iron Bank.
What’s more, Relax’s hand-picked aggregated content will also launch with MagicJackpot, including content from developers such as Big Time Gaming, 4ThePlayer, and ReelPlay too.
Daniel Eskola, the CCO at Relax Gaming, said in a statement to European Gaming: “The Romanian market has enjoyed rapid growth in recent years so it’s important for us to build on our involvement there. This deal with the country’s leading operator is exactly the kind of partnership that will help us achieve our aims in the market.”
Andre Swedberg, the CPO at MagicJackpot, added: “To continue operating at the forefront in our domestic market requires the right content for our product offering, and Relax’s proposition delivers that.
“We’ve been impressed with the variety and quality of the gameplay experiences from Relax and we’re confident that this agreement will go a long way to further consolidate our online presence.”
Fellow game developer Wazdan is also expanding its presence in Romania after striking a content agreement with operator Crowd Entertainment and its Princess Casino and CashPot brands, CasinoBeats reports.
Under this agreement, 41 Wazdan titles have been made available at Princess Casino and CashPot, including Larry The Leprechaun, Clover Lady, Unicorn Reels, 9 Lions, and plenty of others.
In addition to obtaining a selection of Wazdan titles, the online casino brands will also be given access to Wazdan’s promotional tools and cash drop mechanic, which rewards players with random cash prizes, free spins, and more.
Andrzej Hyla, the CCO at Wazdan, said in a statement: “We’re focused on growing with partners that align with our goals and are delighted to expand with two brands in Romania. Our product range offers plenty of diversity through innovative mechanics and we’re looking forward to enjoying a strong relationship with Crowd Entertainment for the foreseeable future.”
Daniel Asaftei, the CRM Marketing Manager at Crowd Entertainment, added: “We are delighted to start this collaboration with Wazdan. As the fastest growing online casino on the Romanian market, we at Crowd Entertainment are always striving to offer the newest slots, the greatest promotions and the best user experience to our players. Together with Wazdan, we are confident that we can reach the highest level of performance.”
Also this week, leading developer Pragmatic Play, which recently announced a content agreement with 32Red, has donated €21,000 to the Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation, a non-governmental organisation based in Romania.
According to Pragmatic Play, the foundation was founded in 2007 and it focuses on the protection of children who have been separated from their parents and assists with their integration into society. The foundation also helps public hospitals renovate sections dedicated to children.
Pragmatic Play’s donation will be used for the rehabilitation of the seventh floor of the Clinical Institute Fundeni, which is dedicated to the children’s oncology section.
The developer’s donation follows its commitment to assisting other charitable initiatives, including donating to various causes in Malta, contributing to Women For Women on International Women’s Day, and assisting in the refurbishment of a sports pitch for Prior Park School in Gibraltar.
Julian Jarvis, the CEO of Pragmatic Play, said in a statement: “Supporting great causes is something we believe we can all do more with, and we’ve very fortunate to be in a position to support those that aim to make a real difference to our wider society.
“The Metropolis Philanthropic Foundation makes a huge difference in need and we’re happy to assist with our donation.”
Ramona Predie, the Head of HR at Pragmatic Play, added: “As we move into 2021 and facing the global pandemic context, CSR is definitely vital for the wellbeing of our society. We, Pragmatic Play, felt that it was imperative to join the project at Fundeni Hospital initiated by Metropolis Foundation in order to drive change and have minimal lasting influence from this perspective.
“By way of our donation, the hospital will meet some of the critical needs they face. Pragmatic Play remains firmly committed to support these institutions that provide an indispensable service to the surrounding communities. If we join forces, we can deliver incredible and significant, long-term achievements towards our fight to help the medical system.
“We are striving to ensure basic health needs of the local Romanian community and we are grateful that we can be [a] part of this amazing change.”
Finally, Yggdrasil has partnered with Jade Rabbit Studio for a brand new Egyptian-themed online slot named Word Of Thoth.
The brand new slot is Jade Rabbit’s debut release as a YG Masters partner, and it transports players to an ancient Egyptian temple where large wins, gorgeous visuals, and plenty of special features await.
According to Yggdrasil, Word Of Thoth uses a 6×4 layout with 4,096 paylines and an RTP of 96.12%. The game’s symbols are based on Egyptian hieroglyphs, and the slot has cascading symbols, providing players with a chance to make big wins.
Word Of Thoth has a free spins mode that can be triggered in multiple ways, either by landing three or more scatter symbols on the reels or by completely filling a meter above the reels. Ten free spins are awarded, and additional spins and multipliers can be earned by filling the meter or landing a scatter symbol.
Like other slots, Word Of Thoth has wild symbols too, designed to substitute for other symbols and create more winning combinations. In addition to all of the above, the slot allows players to trigger the free spins mode immediately via the bonus buy feature.
