Genting Casino Westcliff is currently undergoing a multi-million-pound redevelopment project in order to attract more customers.
The casino, which is located around Southend-on-Sea in Essex, will be completely upgraded and remodelled by Friday, November 16.
According to reports, the plans will see the introduction of an “exciting new bar area” that will feature multiple state-of-the-art flat-screen televisions including a 98-inch LED screen that will be “the biggest single screen in Southend”.
The bar, which will have a gold theme, is being upgraded with the intention to increase capacity as it airs live sporting events throughout the year including Premier League Football and boxing events.
It will also provide more service stations and reduce delays. Meanwhile, additional private booth areas are being installed with mobile phone charging points to provide more seating for customers.
The casino’s toilet facilities will be modernised and new carpeting will be introduced throughout the casino. The venue’s exterior will also be upgraded with new signage and neon lights.
Simon Woodford, the General Manager at Genting Casino Westcliff, said in a statement: “We are delighted to announce that the casino is undergoing a fantastic refurbishment.
“The new and improved bar area will revert back to a long bar, rather than the island bar we currently have at the moment, offering our customers a better in-casino experience.”
He added: “The TV screens, booths and food menu will provide our customers will a place they can relax and socialise with friends.”
The news comes after Genting Casino announced a partnership with International Gaming Technology (IGT) to launch a new gaming product titled SpinSplosion.
According to Genting Casino, SpinSplosion is an interactive tournament and “the first of its kind in the UK” and Genting UK is “the first casino operator in the country to offer their customers the chance to play”.
It’s currently only available at Genting Casino Manchester and Genting International Casino Birmingham but is expected to launch at Genting Casinos in Southampton, Westcliff and Sheffield within the next few months.
