Developers Yggdrasil and ReelPlay have partnered to release their latest joint slot, Money Mariachi Infinity Reels, marking Yggdrasil’s first slot release of 2022.
As hinted by the name, the brand new slot is based on the Dia de Los Muertos celebration. It’s set in a small border town preparing for the holiday, with a special Mariachi band playing melodic and celebratory party music to wake the dead.
The game uses a 3×4 layout with an RTP of 96.19%, and it uses an Infinity Reels mechanic, where new reels are added with each successful win. The game also has high variance, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones.
The Money Mariachi Infinity Reels slot comes with several special features. For example, landing three Shrine symbols on the game’s reels triggers the LevelUp Respins mode, where you must collect skull symbols to unlock the next level.
There are four instrument symbols that land during the LevelUp Respins mode and change gameplay; the trumpet that freezes respins in place, the guitar that grows in size, the violin that boosts prizes, and the hymn that charms.
As mentioned earlier, every winning spin made in the game adds a new reel to the slot. Each new reel also triggers a respin and increases the multiplier by one point. If 12 or more reels are added within a single spin, a bonus prize of 888x your wager is awarded.
Finally, in some jurisdictions, you can use the Buy Feature to purchase entry into the LevelUp Respins mode.
