Developer Yggdrasil has announced the release of its heroic new video slot, Of Sabers And Monsters.
The brand-new casino game follows a group of heroes as they battle their way across the slot’s reels while uncovering riches.
Of Sabers And Monsters uses a 6×4 grid layout with 4,096 paylines, and it has an RTP of 96% with high volatility, which means you’re more likely to make infrequent large wins over regular small ones when playing.
The slot requires a bet of between £0.20 and £50 per spin, and its symbols include Wild sword symbols, a man in a hat, a woman with a sword, a man smoking a pipe, a woman with a guitar, and the usual spade, heart, diamond, and club symbols too.
Of Sabers And Monsters comes with numerous special features, including a Wild symbol that substitutes for all regular symbols to help you make more wins. It also utilises a unique payline mechanic in which landing more than one symbol on the reel multiplies the win.
Landing three or more Free Spin symbols triggers the Free Spins mode with a bonus feature. Landing more Free Spin symbols award more spins, and each character symbol that lands on the middle four reels will fight the game’s monster. If the character wins, they transform into a Sticky Wild symbol.
The game also has a Focus Meter, which, when filled, awards Ardent Re-spins. Forming wins with high-paying symbols in the base game fills the Focus Meter, and during the Ardent Re-spins, character symbols will fight the game’s monster to become Sticky Wild symbols.
Filling a character symbol’s Focus Meter triggers their Ardent Mode, where they always win in their fight against the game’s monster. Re-spins end when no new fights are won.
There’s also the Tempest Free Spins, which are played with all high-paying symbols in Ardent Mode. Meanwhile, filling the middle four reels with high-paying symbols triggers a Skirmish, where all high-paying symbols fight the monster and turn into Wild symbols if they win.
Landing the Feather symbol will unlock a random Bonus reward of 4-200x your bet, eight to 20 Free Spins or the Tempest Free Spins during the base game; 4-20x your bet, two to four extra spins, a random Wild symbol or a random Wild reel in the Free Spins mode; or 4-200x your bet or two to four extra spins in the Tempest Free Spins mode.
The game also has a gambling mechanic where you can gamble your Free Spins for more or lose them completely, and it offers you the chance to purchase entry into the Free Spins mode and Tempest Free Spins for 80x and 500x your bet.
