Yggdrasil has partnered with G Games to release their latest video slot, Cthulhu.
Inspired by the terrifying sea god created by H.P. Lovecraft, the game sees a group of heroes search for riches belonging to the mythical creature. The game uses a classic 5×3 layout with 10 paylines, and it has an RTP of 95.42% with medium to high variance, which means infrequent large wins are common within the slot.
Symbols in the sci-fi slot include a wizard, a knight, a sailor, a thief, a singer, a Wild ring, a gem, and the heart, clover, spade, and diamond playing card symbols. The game also has transforming craze symbols and Cthulhu Scatter symbols too.
Cthulhu comes with several special features, including a Wild symbol that can substitute for all symbols, excluding the Scatter symbols. Meanwhile, Scatter symbols appear on the first, third, and fifth reels and landing three of these symbols trigger 10 free spins of the Bonus Game.
During the Craze Of Cthulhu Bonus Game, every time an Adventurer lands, it has a chance to become a Sticky Wild symbol. During the feature, a Sticky Wild cannot block a Scatter from appearing, turning into a Transparent Sticky Wild. Landing Scatter symbols on the reels during the feature will trigger an additional 10 spins.
Stuart McCarthy, the Head of Product and Programs at Yggdrasil, said in a statement: “Cthulhu is a dark new addition to the YG Masters program that sees daring explorers brave the depths in search of huge wins.
“It’s another unique addition to our portfolio, which is the entire purpose of the initiative – to bring dynamic games to players from a variety of studios.”
Helen Walton, the CCO at G Games, added: “While our previous YG Masters game, Serendipity, was a peaceful slot, Cthulhu is quite the opposite. Filled with dark monsters and a fantastic bonus feature, battles occur in search of life-changing wins in the deepest depths of the ocean.
“We’re very pleased to have worked with Yggdrasil to create another exciting game and we look forward to seeing how it’s received across its operator network.”
The release of Cthulhu comes after the launch of several other games under the YG Masters program. They include Peter & Sons’ ValkyriesandMonster Blox Gigablox, ReelPlay’s Age Of Beasts Infinity Reels, AvatarUX’s PiggyPop, Yggdrasil’s own Gator Gold Gigablox, Jelly’s Valhalla Saga: Thunder Of Thor, Reflex Gaming’s 5 Clans: The Final Battle, and more.
